Faculty & Staff
Career and Technical Education is critical to economic development. A key to improving student achievement is providing students with academic and career and technical education courses that are challenging and aligned to industry-based and college readiness standards. Career and Technical Education actively partners with employers to design and provide high-quality programs founded in the standards that students must meet to compete in the job market. Through the assistance of advisory panels, internships, job shadowing, and other partnerships, employers share information about work-place requirements and expectations, technical requirements/skill-sets, and workplace etiquette, and global performance.
Each program area has an end-of-course assessment, Mississippi Career Planning and Career Assessment System and/or a National Certification Test.
